Sanding Machinery - precision tolerance drum sanders

Curtin-Hebert Company has been manufacturing precision sanding machinery for over 100 years. Our drum sanders have been proven over and over again in many applications and currently in over 58 countries.

Commercial and decorative laminates, insulation materials, CMP pads for the electronics industry, fuel cell applications, gasket materials, floor tiles, printers blanket, urethanes, cork, vinyls and composites are all sanded to precision tolerances on our drum sanders for several different industries.

Our precision sanding machines can utilize a complete range of abrasive papers from 36 grit to 1000 grit, depending on the application. These precision machines are built to be durable and easy to operate.

The sanding drum is the heart of the machine. It is a centrifugally cast cylinder; bored, turned and dynamically balanced. We have several applications where a tolerance of plus or minus .0005” over 100” wide is achieved.
